Pastor Mark was born January 18, 1965.  He has always lived in Caldwell County.  He graduated from South Caldwell High School in 1983.  He received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord in the break room of a Winn Dixie in 1984.  Mark married Jennifer Hoyle Dula in 1988.  On February 9th, 1997, he surrendered to the call to preach.  He began his Christian education at West Lenoir School of Ministry in 1998. He graduated with a Bachelors degree in Divinity in 2001 and continued his education and in 2003, received a Master of Divinity Degree. Mark served as associate/youth pastor at Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church from 1999 until 2003.  He then pastored Harris Chapel Baptist Church from 2003 until 2006, and Rocky Face Baptist Church from 2006 until 2016.  In August of 2016, the Lord led him back to Poovey’s Chapel as Associate/Youth pastor.  Mark is thrilled to be able to work with Pastor Nicky and the youth.  Mark has a great desire to see other’s come to faith in Jesus Christ and grow in the grace and knowledge of their Lord and Savior.   Mark and His wife have one son and two daughters and four grandchildren.  He loves going to the beach with his family, snow skiing, and just having a great time with family and friends.
